The wind and weather on We Ride Flanders

We Ride Flanders is the Tour of Flanders sportive, ridden the day before the pro race: 240 km from Bruges to Oudenaarde over the cobbled climbs of the Flemish Ardennes, including the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg, finishing under the same arch as the pros. Shorter 160, 130 and 80 km routes start and finish in Oudenaarde.

Early April in Flanders is changeable: a chilly 07:00 start, cool days and frequent showers that make the cobbles slick. The wind is usually from the south-west or west and can be fresh across the open country between Bruges and the hills, and gusty on the exposed climbs. On a ride this long, when you reach the cobbles matters. Set your start and pace above: the forecast follows the hours you’ll actually be riding. The wind on every stretch of the course appears once the route is added to this page.
